Monday... a new week begins

Once again we've had a week full with a lot of interesting experiences.
What is new about language is that Maggie passed her exam and is now in the 2nd level.
Besides that I (Hendrik) got a job and had a training on thursday and friday at a language school.
Tomorrow (tuesday) I am going to teach German for the first time.
I have never done that before, but am looking forward to see how it is going to work out.
I am going to have three different groups. One group of 2 people, 1 of 3 and 1 of 6. So this is basically conversation class I am making with some business men.
So twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday) I am going to the north of Madrid, the business district, to teach.
Concerning tasks and ministry things are now becoming to get a bit more organised and after the summer break people and programs and getting back to the routine again,
which hopefully will be very good for us, becase that is what we were waiting for. So in the next weeks we also want to start a homework-help for all the pupils at church and some other activities.
At the weekend the church we are ministering at in Villaverde had its 5th aniversary.
So they planned some activities and a bit of a review on the last years.
So on saturday we went to the "parque del retiro", one of the biggest, and probably the nicest park in Madrid. We hang around, chatted, played games and paddled in small boats.
On Sunday then after the service, the church had a big lunch together and after that the married men played football against the single boys.
So you see, that it's not boring and we are looking forward to see what next week will be like

Wieder mal ist eine Woche vorbei und wir haben ne Menge erlebt.
Maggie hatte letzte Woche einen Spanisch-Test, hat ihn bestanden und ist jetzt im 2ten Level.
Außerdem hab ich (Hendrik) einen Job und hatte auch am Do und Fr schon ein Training an der Sprachschule. Morgen (Dienstag) fang ich dann an Deutsch-Unterricht an einer Sprachschule zu geben. Hab das zwar noch nie gemacht, bin aber mal gespannt wie das so klappt.
Ich werd dort 3 verschiedene Gruppen haben. Eine mit 2 Leuten, eine mit 3 und eine mit 6.
Es sind also eher Gesprächsrunden.
Zwei mal in der Woche werd ich also in den Madrider Norden, das Businessviertel, fahren um da zu unterrichten.
In Bezug auf Aufgaben und Programme fängt alles langsam nach der Sommerpause wieder an normal zu werden. Wir freuen uns darüber, weil wir so endlich in verschiedene Programme einsteigen können. In den nächsten Wochen soll in der Gemeinde für die Schüler auch eine Hausaufgaben-Hilfe starten.
Am Wochenende hatte die Gemeinde in Villaverde wo wir mitarbeiten 5-jähriges Jubiläum.
Deswegen hatten sie einige Aktionen.
Am Samstag waren wir zusammen mit den Kindern und Jugendlichen im "parque del retiro" einem der größten und dem schönsten Park von Madrid.
Da haben wir gequatscht, Spiele gespielt, sind Bötchen gefahren und die Gemeinschaft genossen. Am Sonntag nach dem Gottesdienst hat die ganze Gemeinde zusammen gegessen und die Single-Jungs haben sich danach gegen die verheirateten Männer ein Fußball-Match geliefert.

PS: Bitte betet für uns, dass wir gute Beziehungen zu anderen Leuten aus unserem Alter aufbauen können. Wir vermissen die Gemeinschaft mit Freunden hier sehr. Einfach mal rumhängen, sich gegenseitig ermutigen, miteinander beten oder quatschen. Wär cool, wenn ihr dafür beten würdet, weil uns das im Moment fehlt und ein bisschen runterzieht. Danke!
